What You Need to Know About Invisalign®

beautiful woman smile widely holding her foreheadA beautiful, perfectly aligned smile is one of the best accessories anyone can possess. At Willeri Dental, we offer patients a discrete and comfortable way to straighten their smile with Invisalign. This clear aligner system can give you the smile of your dreams!

The Benefits of Invisalign

  • Aesthetically pleasing. Because the aligners are clear and practically invisible, they can straighten your teeth inconspicuously. This feature is especially appealing for adult patients who don’t want to wear “train track” braces.
  • Removable. Unlike the case with fixed traditional braces, you can remove Invisalign before eating. Imagine being able to eat your favourite foods. It’s also easier to maintain good oral hygiene as you can take your aligners out before brushing and flossing.

How Does the Treatment Work?

You will be given a series of aligners to wear over your teeth for about 22 hours a day. Just change them every week or two to a new set. Over a period of time, those aligners will move your teeth into the position you’re looking for.

What to Expect

The first step is coming in for a consultation with Dr Meheransh Chopra (Dentist). He will check your teeth to make sure there are no underlying issues like decay or infection. You also need to have healthy gums. If your teeth require cleaning, you will need to get that done beforehand.

You also will also be referred out for a full mouth X-ray to assess the jaws and teeth and make sure no underlying issues are present. If we don’t find any problems, we will take some photos and impressions of your teeth. All of this information gets scanned into the Invisalign system.

Dr Chopra will then devise the best way to straighten your teeth. Once that’s done he will present the options to you along with an estimate of treatment cost. If you agree with what’s presented to you, you can get started on improving your smile.
